Rules padelBOX Youth Tour presented by HEAD

1. General
The pB Youth Tour is padelBOX's youth padel tournament series. It gives children and teenagers the chance to gain competitive experience at various locations across North Rhine-Westphalia over an entire season, meet new players, and have fun playing padel together.

The tour consists of monthly tour stops plus a final Masters tournament.

You can take part in individual tour stops independently of one another. The pB Youth Tour is played in the age groups U12, U14 and U16, with girls and boys competing together.

padelBOX reserves the right to adjust tour stop dates and these rules over the course of the season.

2. Age groups
Age groups are determined by calendar year 2026. This grouping applies for the entire 2026/27 season:

• U12: born 2014 or later
• U14: born 2013 & 2012
• U16: born 2011 & 2010

3. Moving up to a higher age group
Players may voluntarily register in a higher age group, but then stay in that age group for the whole 26/27 season and cannot switch back. Tournament organizers reserve the right to decline a registration in a higher age group, as well as registrations from children with too large an age gap in the U12, for sporting or organizational reasons.

4. Registration
Registration for each tour stop is individual, as it is held as an Americano tournament. Organizers assign players different partners and opponents for the individual matches.

There is no maximum number of participants per tour stop and age group – every tour stop is open to all players in the respective age group.

Registration is generally possible until Monday at 11pm before the respective tournament weekend. The entry fee is €20 per player for a single tour stop.

By registering, the player — or, for minors, their parent or legal guardian — accepts these rules.

5. Cancellation
Free cancellation is possible up to 48 hours before the start of the respective tour stop at the latest. If cancelled in time, the full entry fee will be refunded. If this deadline cannot be met, it is at padelBOX's discretion.

6. Tour stop
Youth Tour stops are expected to take place on Saturdays. Depending on the number of participants and organizational circumstances, a tour stop lasts roughly four hours. The exact court and match schedule may be adjusted depending on the number of participants.

7. Match format
The pB Youth Tour is played in the classic Americano format.

Tournament organizers create the match pairings, making sure players play with different partners and against different opponents as far as possible.

The aim of the format is to meet as many different players as possible while also collecting individual results for the season ranking.

Each player plays at least four matches per tour stop. To avoid an uneven number of counted matches due to time constraints or other factors, only the first four matches of each tour stop count towards ranking points.

Depending on the number of participants, a match is played over 8 service games. Points are generally played according to the official FIP rules. Within a game, classic padel scoring applies: 15, 30, 40, game; at deuce (40:40) a Golden Point is played.

8. Challenges
At every tour stop, a location-specific challenge takes place in addition to the padel matches. This could, for example, be a technical, coordination-based or playful padel task. The winner of each challenge receives 15 extra ranking points.

9. Match scoring and ranking
After the four matches are completed, a day ranking is created for each age group. This is based on the total number of games won across the four counted matches.

Depending on their daily placement, players receive the following match points for the current season's ranking:

1. 100 points
2. 75 points
3. 55 points
4. 40 points
   5th–8th: 25 points
   9th and below: 10 points
   Challenge winner: 15 bonus points

The ranking is therefore based on the points earned across the tour stops. After the 9th tour stop, the final ranking for the 26/27 season is set, and the best four players are invited to the Masters. If a player is unable to take part in the Masters, the next person in the ranking moves up.

10. Masters
The Masters is a standalone final tournament; ranking points only determine eligibility to take part in the Masters. Masters matches are played across the three possible pairings over two winning sets, with the 3rd set played as a champions tiebreak.

A match is won as soon as a player or team has won two sets.

11. Fair Play
The pB Youth Tour stands for sporting competition, fun, community and mutual respect. All players, family members and spectators are expected to help maintain a fair and friendly atmosphere throughout the tournament.
